TRENDS AUTUMN-WINTER 2011/2012

CHECKS
Whether tiny gingham or windowpane, checks are in: for complete outfits and for fashionable individual pieces.
English glenchecks, Scottish tartans or Canadian lumberjack checks – the pattern of the season appears in many variations. Reserved on shirts or suits but outgoing as a detail or accessory. The highlights of this season: frilly checked blouses for her, tweed suits with windowpane checks for him and scarves with checks for everyone.

CHINOS
The ‘must haves’ of the season are more diverse than ever: chinos with or without pleated waistband, wide or narrow, elegant or in trendy washed finishes, for everyone.
Cool and casual, or clean and chic? Chinos can be both. Young trendsetters wear them with denim shirts or checked shirts with fashionable chunky-knit cardigans. And always rolled up casually. And at the office? With a sports jacket and a shirt or a blazer and a blouse, chinos are absolutely office-compatible.

CHUNKY KNIT
Knits have lots of new angles. Chunky knits in rustic textures have volume and are oversized, but they remain cuddly soft and lightweight.
Pullovers, cardigans, etc. are ideal winter companions for everyone. New interpretations of traditional folk patterns: Jacquards, Norwegians and cables, for example. Wear them with casual jeans, textured winter chinos or leggings with shorts. And the accessories? Caps, scarves, loop scarves and leg warmers are perfect partners for layering.

LAMBSKIN
Lambskin is the fashion highlight for Autumn/Winter 2011/2012. Washed, waxed, crushed or sprayed – lambskin has a variety of individual looks. From soft and flowing to coarse and rustic.
There are favourite pieces made of lambskin for every style and taste, including crisp biker jackets, trendy waistcoats and ultra-feminine coats. And as a detail, it is also a fashionable eye-catcher: on field jackets with detachable curly collars or cool parkas with cuddly hoods.

TAILORING
Originally, tailoring meant ‘hand stitched by a tailor’. And for elegant men’s suits and sports jackets, excellent cuts are still the measure of all things.
Trend-conscious models show their commitment to British tradition in classic tweed fabrics and glencheck patterns. The shapes are strikingly modern: slim silhouettes, narrow lapels and shorter back lengths. Perfectly combined with fashionable slim-fit shirts and neckties.

TWEED
The term ‘tweed’ was originally reserved for handwoven fabric from Scotland. Coarse, nubby yarns give it a mottled, speckled surface.
Tweed is the trend for Autumn/Winter 2011/2012. Elegant blazers and knee-length skirts for her, smart sports jackets and fashionable, slim suits for him. Traditional qualities such as Harris tweed, herringbone twill or Donegal tweed stand for assurance when it comes to British style. The patterns range from reserved glenchecks to outgoing windowpane checks.

DENIM
Denim is the casual trend that has come out in the wash. From light blue to dark stone, dirty to destroyed – the right wash is available for any look. Different shades of black or grey are just as trendy as classic blue jeans.
Jeans with elegant sparkling rhinestone trim, casual, fashionably washed jackets or cool and gritty vintage-style shirts … Denim is a lasting favourite that demonstrates both taste and character: more versatile than ever before, just as individual as you are.
